  1. Hi Nigel and Jacqui
What a wonderful piece to listen to and to watch.
For me it is so like the west of Ireland (and Donegal), hauntingly beautiful.

    1. Thanks Brendan very kind and Thanks for taking time to view. Yes it was as I imagine parts of Ireland would be. The peacefulness is wonderful and having wonderful beaches as you saw in the film to yourself is very special. It’s the first little film score Ive written and am quite pleased how it has turned out.
      Take care
      Nigel

  2. Nigel, this was a lovely way so spend a windy afternoon, listening to your music and looking at the photos. I’m not a flower bloke really but the shots of the machair towards the end were such a pleasant surprise.
I only guess that the place where you stayed was the cottage on several photos and with the shots of the inside. It must have been great place to stay.
But it’s easy to talk about photos but less easy to talk about music: it’s quiet poise reflected the peacefulness of the photos and it seemed to me to move appropriately from a piece dominated be the piano to one with the serenity captured by the cello.
    Brilliant stuff, David

    1. Thanks very much for the comments Dave, I really appreciate your viewing the film. Yes, the ‘cello is the instrument with the song which becomes the North Uist folk tune at the end as you can hear. It was a very inspiring and peaceful place and we would very much like to go back to the region again
